How to join a server from phone or console (Bedrock)

Adding a server in Minecraft Bedrock on phone, Windows and consoles, port 19132, Geyser servers and console limitations.

Is the server compatible?

Phones, tablets, consoles and the Microsoft Store Windows version run Bedrock Edition, which can't join Java-only servers directly. Look for the Bedrock or Java + Bedrock labels, or browse the Crossplay and Bedrock only categories.

Address and port

Bedrock uses a separate address and port; the default port is 19132.

Phone, tablet, Windows

Play, Servers tab, Add Server, enter the name, address (no port) and port, Save and play. Keep the game updated.

Consoles

Consoles only list featured partner servers and usually have no Add Server button. Workarounds include community DNS services that open an address-entry screen (use them knowingly — your DNS goes to a third party) or joining a friend who is already on the server.

Geyser servers

Geyser lets Bedrock players join Java servers; Floodgate lets them log in with a Microsoft/Xbox account. Some menus, items and resource packs may look different.

Common issues

Wrong port, a Java-only server, missing Microsoft sign-in, or an outdated game version. Check the server in the status checker with Bedrock selected.
