A server IP is the address the game connects to: a domain such as mc.example.com or digits such as 95.123.45.67:25565.
A server already in your list
Open Multiplayer, select the server and click Edit — the Server Address field holds the IP. On Bedrock: Play → Servers → hold the server → Edit. There is no in-game command to show the IP of the current server.
You know the name
Search for it on Minecraft-Servera: the server page shows the address at the top with a Copy IP button (and a separate Bedrock address when available). Official websites, Discord and social pages also list it. Beware of look-alike copies of popular servers.
A friend's server
- Hosting (Aternos etc.) — the address is in the hosting panel, e.g.
name.aternos.me. - Hosted on their PC — their public IP plus port 25565 forwarded on the router, or a VPN such as Radmin.
- Open to LAN — works only on the same network.
Check it
Paste the address into the status checker: it shows whether the server answers, its players, version and MOTD.
